Multi-layer PP yarn-wound pre-filter candle, 5-micron, 9" threaded — fits most 10" pre-filter housings with a female-threaded cap. Traps dirt, sand, rust and scale particles, offers 2x the dirt-holding capacity of ordinary filters, and can be back-flushed to extend life. Protects and extends the life of your RO membrane.
What it does
A pre-filter candle is the first stage of protection for your RO purifier. This multi-layer polypropylene yarn-wound candle traps dirt, sand, rust and scale particles before they reach the finer filters and RO membrane — cutting the load on downstream components so they last longer. The wound multi-layer construction holds roughly twice the dirt of an ordinary filter and can be back-flushed to extend its usable life.

Compatibility
9" threaded candle that fits most 9" and 10" pre-filter housings whose cap has female threads in the centre — under-sink RO systems, domestic RO purifiers and commercial pre-filter housings. Please check that your housing cap is centre-female-threaded before ordering.
Media & rating
Multi-layer polypropylene (PP) yarn-wound media, 5-micron rating, effective on particles down to roughly 5-10 microns. Back-flushable for longer life.
